Facing the constant threat of violence, rape, trafficking abductions and death, Durban's street children truly have little hope and usually find themselves resorting to drugs and crime. Director Billy Raftery steps over the imaginary line that divides their world from the rest of the city's, by spending eight years focusing on two of these children, Zulieka and Ariel. Having witnessed their entire adolescence, this intimate portrait depicts a fight for survival against not only the dangers of the street, but also the haunting memories of the past that led them there in the first place. Narrated by Charlize Theron.
