As crucial as it is unevenly distributed by nature on the surface of the globe, water is often referred to as one of the major problems of the 21st century. This problem is vividly illustrated in Reunion Island. For if the island does not lack water, it suffers from drought. This paradox is due to the presence of a mountainous chain that cuts it in two, flooding the east of the island, but leaving the west part ... In the early 90s, it was decided to drill through the mountain and to operate the water changeover ... A Babylonian site like the Channel Tunnel. Ten years later, the technological wager is about to be won. But is this really the case? And above all, at what price?
