Haingo, a dancer from southern Madagascar, is the youngest of a family united around a charismatic patriarch, Remanindry. This musician is best known for his fiddle pieces with incomparable resonances. But this traditional instrument, emblem of the family, does not seduce Haingo, who has to earn a living for his four-year-old daughter. A dance company in the capital offers him a trial contract. Haingo seized this chance, left his family and went up to Tananarive. She only has a few days to learn a dance that is totally foreign to her.

Film by Edouard JOUBEAUD selected for the FESPACO 2021.
