Point du Jour is a press agency and television production company with 15 years' experience in producing reports, documentaries, magazines and programmes on social and consumer issues for terrestrial and special-interest television channels based in France or abroad. Its work covers the entire range of non-fiction programmes, from current affairs to educational programmes, including historical investigation, adventure, science and culture, the only exception being wildlife programmes.

Point du Jour comprises a team of producers with varied backgrounds and experiences, organised around five departments: Documentaries, Culture/Music, Investigation and Reports, Programmes and Magazines, and Distribution.

Point du Jour represents a certain vision of television and of the company's programmes. This distinctive approach is also what prompts film-makers, authors and journalists to form long-term working partnerships with PDJ.

Point du Jour is also firmly established on the international market through its distribution arm, Point du Jour International.

Since its creation in 1988, each film made at Point du Jour carries the stamp of the company's philosophy : get to the heart of things. Over the years, Point du Jour expanded its activities, from journalism to creative documentaries, from social problems to history, adventure or music and docu-drama, forging links with TV channels in France and abroad.
In 2005, the company produced some 88 hours of programming. Point du Jour has received the "French TV Producer's Award 2003" by the PROCIREP.

The company also produces regular magazine programmes for public broadcasters, for example: : "L'oeil et la main" (Eye and Hand), a programme for the deaf and the hard of hearing.

Point du Jour International
The company's distribution outfit guarantees Point du Jour's presence on the international market, handling top level in-house productions and selected titles from third parties. Point du Jour International also handles sales of the DOCSTAR catalogue in French-speaking territories.
