Toto Bissainthe, phenomenal Haitian artist haunted by the deportation of her ancestors, sang her source a lot in Africa. The film enables her to meet, in Senegal, agents of the memory - griots, storytellers, painters, musicians - for a dialog of memory to memory, through words, music, dance. Around these exchanges, which could have taken place formerly and remain of a lively current event, the city of Dakar, with its today realities.
