The characters are from two different worlds. The first is leading street life. It is about Turbini who practices violence to survive in the street. He uses every type of weapon. He even makes violence on his fellows. His opponent in the street is Hamossa whose weapons are intelligence and his capacity to trick the police into letting him sell drugs in return for working for them as an informer. The street children treat him as their lord. It is he who informs on Turbini to the police and has him sent in jail.

Al Ghaba, according to Variety, is about [g]lue-sniffing runaways and abandoned moppets [who] struggle to negotiate the terrors of capricious gangs and sadistic cops in Cairo's slums. Pregnant pot peddler tries to free his family from an abusive father.
Controversy goes on as Al Ghaba draws audience…

Al Ghaba (The Jungle; 92 min; originally Cairo Demons) is an international buzz. Shown at Cannes Film Festival 2008, Al Ghaba has raised controversy over whether Egypt's "all-in-the-family's" squabbles should be shown - and discussed - internationally.
