In the West Indies, everybody knows him. He's in the blood of 9 out of 10 people. It's an endocrine disruptor that makes Martinique the world champion in prostate cancer. Because of it, the number of premature babies is constantly increasing. It has contaminated a third of the agricultural land, tubers, meat, eggs; it has polluted springs and rivers, affected fish and seafood. Invented in America, it has been lost in Europe and no one seems in a hurry to find it again. It is a toxic and persistent pesticide that will not be got rid of for several centuries. For just a few more bananas, it's contaminated everything... even politics.

En las Indias Occidentales, todo el mundo lo conoce. Está en la sangre de 9 de cada 10 personas. Es un disruptor endocrino que convierte a Martinica en el campeón mundial de cáncer de próstata. Debido a ello, el número de bebés prematuros aumenta constantemente. Ha contaminado un tercio de las tierras agrícolas, los tubérculos, la carne, los huevos; ha contaminado los manantiales y los ríos, ha afectado al pescado y al marisco. Inventado en América, se ha perdido en Europa y nadie parece tener prisa por encontrarlo de nuevo. Es un pesticida tóxico y persistente del que no se librará durante varios siglos. Por unos pocos plátanos más, ha contaminado todo... incluso la política.
