A new Johannesburg is being born. A bustling city that reminds one of Europe and breathes Africa. A city in which you get lost and which seems to be constantly overflowing. All the questions and crises, all the dreams and nightmares of the new South Africa are concentrated there. This documentary sets out to meet some of the characters. Julie and Lee, former nurses, have been walking the streets for a few years without their family and friends knowing about it. Marie returns to the neighbourhood where she spent more than thirty years and visits a friend, a retired actor who has become an impresario. Junior, after living in a park, became the leader of the most famous "kwaito" dance company, Boom Shaka. Thembi, 17, is a high school student with a political conscience.
Documentary of 73 minutes directed by Oliver SCHMITZ and Brian TILLEY.
