I always ignored the history of my country until I saw my grandfather crying in front of pictures of the Second World War. He was crying because his father had been detained in France while the 1947 uprising was being prepared in Madagascar.
Today, it is my duty to share the history of my country in memory of my grandfather and all the Malagasy people who shed their blood for their country.
