Set in Casablanca, What a Wonderful World plays on the anonymity and connections of life in the metropolis. This suspenseful, comedic and romantic thriller opens in the dimly lit, aquamarine tunnels of a public bathroom, as hired killer Kamel takes out his next anonymous victim. Then the camera moves outside to the bright atmosphere of a dusty back alley, where traffic cop Kenza rents her cell phone by the minute to anonymous callers and her best friend-and Kamel's lover-Souad. The rich vision and intentional contrasts of the opening set the tone for a meticulously crafted movie in which lives intersect in both calculated and unexpected ways.

Casablanca, ciudad de contrastes, tradicional y moderna… Kamel es un asesino a sueldo que recibe sus misiones en clave por Internet. Acostumbra a llamar a Souad, una prostituta ocasional, después de sus ejecuciones. Pero siempre responde el teléfono su amiga Kenza, agente de tráfico y responsable de la glorieta más importante de la ciudad. Kamel no tarda en enamorarse de esa voz y de empezar a buscarla. Mientras, Hicham, un hacker informático, que sueña con emigrar a Europa, se infiltra por casualidad y de repente en los planes de Kamel…

Casablanca ist nicht nur ein legendärer Film aus Hollywood, es ist auch eine real existierende Stadt voller Kontraste, modern und archaisch in einem. Hier lebt Kamel als Auftragskiller in einer Art Einzimmer-Penthouse. Die Aufträge erhält er übers Internet. Cool führt er sie aus. Nach jedem ausgeführten Auftrag ruft er Souad an, eine Gelegenheitsprostituierte, mit der er anschliessend ins Bett steigt. Wirklich den Kopf verdreht ihm aber Kenza, die an einer der am stärksten frequentierten Kreuzungen in Casablanca den Verkehr regelt oder besser: dirigiert, so, als würde sie ein Symphonieorchester leiten. Zunächst kennt Kamel nur Kenzas Stimme, aber er wird nicht locker lassen, bis er den Körper dazu gefunden hat. Der professionelle Hacker Hicham, der davon träumt, sich nach Europa abzusetzen, mischt sich übers Internet in die Kontakte von Kamel ein - und das schafft diesem Probleme.

WWW - WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD ist ein durch und durch moderner Film, burlesk im Spiel, schräg in der Bildkomposition, witzig und kühn.
Mit Nezha Rahil und Faouzi Bensaidi, einem grossartigen Liebespaar.

Kenza, la poliziotta che affitta il suo cellulare agli abitanti del quartiere. Souad, la prostituta che chiama i clienti dal telefono di Kenza. Un intreccio di storie che si sfiorano nel traffico caotico della città, al ritmo frenetico che contraddistingue la modernità. Una divertente diapositiva dal Marocco contemporaneo. Un ritratto della modernizzazione che investe ogni luogo del mondo, sconvolgendo ritmi e abitudini di vita. La macchina da presa scorre fluida tra le strade di Casablanca, coglie il cambiamento e invita lo spettatore a prenderne coscienza.
