Francesca Duca was born in Assisi, Italy.

She studied Literature and Visual Anthropology at Università degli Studi in Perugia and at ULB Université Libre de Bruxelles.

After a fieldwork in India, she wrote a thesis about the media phenomenon of Bollywood.

She attended several cinematic workshops in Rome and also at UCLA in Los Angeles.

She attended INSAS the film school of Brussels in which she studied movie directing, script writing and production.

She worked in audiovisual domain in Rome, Berlin and Brussels.

She is the co-creator of Le Moindre Geste Film Company based in Casablanca, focused on promoting independent authors.

She wrote and directed short films and documentaries.
