Nairobi-based author, Billy Kahora wrote together with the German scrpitwriter/producer Tom Tykwer the script of SOUL BOY (Hawa Essuman, 2009), a film shot almost exclusively in Africa's largest slum, Kibera (Nairobi). Hawa Essuman is a young female Ghanian-Kenyan director. This Kenyan-German low budget production was first screened in January 2010 at the Göteborg Film Festival.
